CHARGEBACK on policy TU5782401 (Morgan Scott, Classic Choice Term 10). Two negative commission lines in March: -$41.47 (03.16) and -$172.69 (03.13) = -$214.16 total reversed. The policy was expected to generate $500.83 in producer comp; instead it's charging back. ACTION: confirm whether policy lapsed/cancelled, and whether any advance already paid to Morgan Scott needs to be recovered in next payout. ALSO NOTE: statement shows insured as 'SHEILA JACKSON' while AI ledger says 'Jackson, David L' - verify same policy/insured (policy number matches exactly).
Policy US70032617 (Wallace Colligan UL) appears TWICE on the 04.17.26 statement at $3,476.28 each = $6,952.56 total. Symetra UL initial commissions can legitimately post as split lines, but two identical 55% lines on one statement for one policy warrants verification before paying out. This is the single largest Symetra item.
Policy TS00018463 (Wallace Colligan) paid only 15% ($162.64) on $1,084.25 basis. Product is 20YRTM18NY (a New York product, Symetra ID 11-53-8002). Per comp plan, NY business pays 50% of non-NY - but 15% is far below the typical 65% FY street rate. Confirm whether this is the correct NY commission schedule or an underpayment. Expected if full 65%: ~$704.76.
Policy ST11800270 (Wallace Colligan) paid SIX times across statements 02.09, 02.13, and 04.10 - at 75% twice ($86.23) then 65% four times ($74.73). Rate dropped from 75% to 65% with no clear reason, and the repeated identical payments need confirmation as legitimate as-earned installments vs duplicates. Total paid to date ~$471.38.
TREATMENT DECISION: Protective sends large monthly OVERRIDE statements (e.g. 02.02.26 = $6,115.50) containing hundreds of downline sub-agent lines (Gould, Thomas, Montenegro, Zhang, Porzio, etc.) - none are Southport-placed policies. Same downline/BGA-income question as Symetra: how should this override income be treated (agency revenue vs producer)? Also: these statements are large and worth a deeper manual pass to ensure no Southport-placed policy is buried among the override lines.
EXTRACTION GAP: The four April Nationwide statements (04.07, 04.10, 04.17, 04.24) use custom font encoding that is not machine-readable - text extracts as garbled glyphs. These could not be auto-processed and need either an OCR pass or manual entry. Any April Nationwide commissions (potential matches: Nastasi 8000620255, others) are NOT yet captured. ACTION: obtain these as CSV/XLSX from Nationwide portal, or OCR them.
DOWNLINE BUSINESS: 19 commission lines totaling $1,149.52 paid through Southport's Symetra BGA (ID 11-53-8004 etc.) for policies NOT in Southport's placed ledger - insureds Garcia, Hart, Carroll, Dubose, Sanchez, Downs (writing agents Arevalo, Bartok, Carroll, Westhuis, Legaspi, Mann, Royer). This is override/BGA income on other agents' business. Confirm with Hugo/Michael: should these flow to a producer, to the agency, or are these pass-through? They are NOT producer-comp-eligible under the Oppenheimer plan. Decide on treatment + whether to create policy records for the downline book.
Policy ST11133681 (Morgan Scott) appears TWICE on 04.17.26 at $432.59 each = $865.18. Verify whether legitimate split or double-post.
Policy ST11892996 (Hugo Tomasio) appears TWICE on 04.10.26 at $119.60 each. Also: basis only $184 vs AI target premium $2,134.40 - this is initial/partial premium only, so more commission is expected on later statements. Track for completeness.
POSITIVE / model-clarifying finding (not a problem): Policy 8000600096 (Hugo Tomasio) paid $21,452.91 total ($21,402.49 Target at 60% + $50.42 Excess). The Oppenheimer producer-comp model expected $7,134.16 (20% of $35,670.82 target). The $21K is the AGENCY street commission from Nationwide; the $7K is Hugo's producer take of it. This is the single clearest example of the two-layer model and should anchor that conversation with Hugo/Michael.
POSITIVE finding (not a problem): Policy ST11310907 (Morgan Scott) paid $937.69 at 65% on $1,442.60 basis. Carrier paid MORE than the 20% producer expectation modeled ($301.52). This is correct - the 65% is the street/agency commission FROM the carrier; the 20% is what the PRODUCER gets paid OF that. This row illustrates why the app needs to track carrier-commission separately from producer-payout. Flagging to confirm the two-layer model with the team.
